Reason People Can’t Pray

7 reasons are:

1. There is long distance between him and God with their sins.

So go near God, ask and it shall be given.

So go near God, seek and it shall be given

Confess your sins and it shall be forgiven.

Seek his kingdom; do right things that please Him.

Desire to do His wills, not our wills, lest we become distracted.

Then you’ll feel His love, grace and blessings.

1. When you have a wrong desire and not satisfied.

When you have a right desire of your own will, but at the wrong time.

You must stop desiring this in order to enable you to pray.

1. Distraction that turns us looking away from God. (career, marriage, money, good worldly things, …)

If we pursue too much of these, we will have difficulty come to God and pray.

1. Debts. Debts of unforgiveness.

When we don’t or can’t forgive other people, we will have some difficulty to pray.

Remember Jesus suffered so much on cross to pay for our sins. A big unjustice. He forgave them so we must forgive our enemy too.

1. Doubts about God’s goodness

Philippians 1:6 …. he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

James 1: 6+7

⁶But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. ⁷That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord;

When you ask something from God, do not doubt His intention.

1. Devil’s snare or distraction

Devil can exert its power to block us from doing God’s will. We have to realize this danger and pray to God for helps.

Ephesians 6:13- 18

¹³Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. ¹⁴Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, ¹⁵and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. ¹⁶In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. ¹⁷Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

¹⁸And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.

1. Discord in family.

Use 3 C: When finding troubles to pray,

A. Confess to God your sins, and ask for forgiveness.

Confess to one another who is honorable that will keep your confession confidential.

Psalm 51: 3, 4

³ For I know my transgressions,
and my sin is always before me. ⁴ Against you, you only, have I sinned
and done what is evil in your sight,
so that you are proved right when you speak
and justified when you judge.

B. Convergeon of pray,

There is power in group prayer,

Learn from each other,

Encourage each other.

C. Commitment to pray.

It’s a privilege, not a chore.

It helps us, not add burden to us.

Prayer is priceless.
