Answering questions
Yesterday, I posted one humor. I didn’t write it my self, I just see one extra ordinary response in answering question, makes us laugh.
Matthew 15:21-28 (New International Version)
21Leaving that place, Jesus withdrew to the region of Tyre and Sidon.
22A Canaanite woman from that vicinity came to him, crying out, "Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter is suffering terribly from demon-possession."
23Jesus did not answer a word. So his disciples came to him and urged him, "Send her away, for she keeps crying out after us."
24He answered, "I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel."
25The woman came and knelt before him. "Lord, help me!" she said.
26He replied, "It is not right to take the children's bread and toss it to their dogs."
27"Yes, Lord," she said, "but even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters' table."
28Then Jesus answered, "Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted."
There are some question-answers in this periscope.
Jesus answered : "I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel."
Canaanite woman said : "Lord, help me!"
Jesus answered : "It is not right to take the children's bread and toss it to their dogs."
Canaanite woman answered : "but even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters' table."
1. Let’s see the changing attitude of the Canaanite woman when she was doing conversation with Jesus. She was at first crying out, crying out loud. But in the end, she admitted, and said "but even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters' table."
2. See the changement of behavior of the Canaanite woman, at first she came to Him in crying out, eagerly following Jesus and the crowd, then she knelt before Him, and in the end, she was asking Him in a manner way.
3. There is no miscommunication between them. Jesus knows to whom He was talking to, and the Canaanite woman also knows who is The son of David that she was calling along the way.
4. It concerns about Jesus, not about the woman. But why she was related to the problem? It because a drive of love. She believes, only Jesus can heal the one she loves very from the demons possession.
Lord, when I have a hammer like YOU, every problem becomes a nail. =)

Konteks Wanita Kanaan
Erick menulis:

and in the end, she was asking Him in a manner way"
Ketika Yesus mengatakan "It is not right to take the children's bread and toss it to their dog", saya yakin banyak orang yang mendengar ini tidak mengerti apa yang Yesus maksud pada saat itu (termasuk saya sendiri).
Lalu, siapa yang mengerti apa maksud Yesus pada saat itu? Ya, si wanita Kanaan tersebut!
Lho, maksudnya?
"Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him." By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified" John 7:38
Ketika Yesus menjawab "I was only sent to the lost sheep of Israel", si wanita Kanaan ini memang sudah mengerti, bahwa belum waktunya untuk Yesus datang kepada orang non-Yahudi.
"I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile" Romans 1:16
Tetapi, karena pengertiannya akan Yesus, wanita ini menjawab "but even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters' table"
Sejauh ini, hanya si wanita Kanaan ini yang mengerti siapa Yesus sebenarnya, sehingga Yesus mengabulkan permintaan wanita Kanaan ini karena imannya:
"Woman, you have great faith, your request is granted" Matthew 15:28
Seperti yang sudah dijanjikan:
"The righteous will live by faith" Habakkuk 2:4
Komentar yang baik sekali
