Sleepless

When the mist has gone down the mountain,

Let's sit side by side my friend

Let's imagine that we can see the horizon

awaiting beyond the mist of the unknown

When we cannot see the light,

Let's sit and take a rest

For a while, let's cease the fight

and learn to walk by faith

When you and I are sleepless tonight,

entrapped by the the darkness all around

Let's not feel down nor drowned,

Let's stop covering the shame and guilt

and like a songbird, let's sing

embracing the light of the day

long before the dawn breaks

in the melodious songs of prayers

with the faith that a new day will come

as it always does

with the faith that HE will keep each and every single of HIS promises

as HE always does
